The greatest franchise in history of professional sports, and hands down baseball’s most historic team, the New York Yankees are the quintessence of our nations pastime. After nearly a century playing in “the house that Ruth built,” the Bronx Bombers moved headquarters to “the New Yankee” stadium. In classic Yankee fashion, they won their 27th championship in their inaugural year in the new stadium. This effusive 2009 New York Yankees World Champions Ring originally belonged to a scout from the Dominican Republic. The Balfour ring is 14K, and size 10.5. On the face of the ring is the Yankees interlocked “NY” all done in diamonds, surrounding this is a “baseball diamond” shape done in diamonds. These diamonds are atop a blue stone field, and the face is surrounded by diamonds. On the top left shank is “WORLD CHAMPIONS” below that is a depiction of “the new Yankee Stadium”, below that is “2009 UNITY” all raised. On the top right shank is the scout name “CORDOBA”, below that is the “Yankees” team symbol, below that reads “TRADITION”, all also raised. Inscribed inside the left shank is “Balfour c 14K”. Inscribed inside the right shank is “YANKEE STADIUM 2009 INAUGURAL SEASON” with a depiction of the stadium centered. The ring weighs 49 grams, and is exactly the same as any player ring. Ring comes in its original beautiful wooden box and is in MINT condition.
