This sterling silver pass is an excellent example from the 1926 New York Giants Football season. This pass is a rarely seen pre-Great Depression Polo Grounds piece that was originally owned by pioneer boxing journalist and radio broadcaster Sam Taub. Taub served as the sports editor of The Morning Telegraph and later had a successful broadcasting career and was the announcer for the first televised boxing match. Taub received the Pillar of Achievement from the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and the Boxing Writers Association gives out an annual award in his honor. The front side of the pass shows minimal signs of wear. Details such as the leg of the player and his hand appear sharp. The rear side of the pass reads “Admit Bearer Sam Taub And One To Home Games Season 1926 - No. 379” with the manufacturers stamp “Dieges & Clust Sterling” below. In our opinion this pass is in NM condition.
