From 1946-50, the best amateur players from around the US as well as Cuba and Canada were invited to play against the best amateurs from the New York area billed as "Brooklyn Against the World”. Inside the rear collar of this flannel jersey is the Rawlings manufacturer’s tag with two attached flag tags reading the size “40 REGULAR” and one with washing instructions. Across the chest reads “World” and on the back is the player number “4” in blue felt. The matching size “34” pants have the player number “4” handwritten inside the rear waistband in black marker. Also included is a beautiful “WORLD ALL STARS” satin jacket. Inside beneath the collar is a Butwin manufacturer’s tag with a partially detached Dick Fischer Athletic Goods distributors tag. Embroidered on the back reads “Nashville Bammer” in beautiful chain stitching. A Rawlings blue cap with a white felt “W” on the front with condition issues is also included. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as manager-worn and shows wear. Accompanied by a family LOA.
