Derrick Rose was born and raised in Chicago, and attended Simeon Career Academy. He was highly recruited by colleges, eventually choosing to join the University of Memphis under coach John Calipari. Rose led the Tigers to the most wins in NCAA history (a 38–2 record), their first number 1 ranking in 25 years, and an appearance in the NCAA championship game. He was drafted first overall in '08, by his hometown Bulls, and he did not disappoint - earning RoY honors in ‘09. Just two seasons later, he became the youngest NBA MVP in history. His No. 1 is scheduled to be retired by the Bulls in 2025-26. Rose will join Jerry Sloan, Bob Love, Michael Jordan, and Scottie Pippen. He guided the Bulls to the best record (62-20) in the NBA in 2010-11, consecutive seasons (2010-12) with the top record in the Eastern Conference and was a part of seven-straight NBA Playoff appearances for the Bulls from 2008-15. On the front left tail of this black dazzle cloth jersey, is the NBA AUTHENTICS / adidas label, with four tags attached: 50 / climalite / 2008-2009 / LENGTH +2. The patch on the right breast commemorates the deaths of former Bulls coach and color commentator Johnny “Red” Kerr and former Bulls player Norm Van Lier. NBA logo embroidered on the left breast. Identifiers are done in red on black on white, and red on white tackle twill. Bulls logo patch on the back of the neck. This jersey is properly tagged, presented to us as game-used, and in our opinion shows appropriate wear. Accompanied by a Bulls Team COA. Wow.
