President John F. Kennedy is considered to be one of the most popular presidents amongst historians and the general public. His time in office was cut short due to his assassination while on a trip in Dallas, Texas in 1963. This document was presented to Russell Niquette, a Vermont politician who was a gubernatorial candidate in 1960. Niquette was a strong supporter of Kennedy’s presidential run and was given the position of Collector of Customs for Customs Collection District 2 by Kennedy in 1961. This document is addressed to Niquette and is signed by Kennedy near the bottom in black ink. In our opinion the autograph rates an 8. The piece in total measures approximately 25”x22” in total with the document measuring 17”x14” Accompanied by an LOA from JSA.
