HOFer, Hal Greer was a 6-foot-2 fantastically athletic guard, Hal Greer had a sweet-shooting touch and was deadly on the fast break. Greer's career was an assault on the NBA record books. At the time of his enshrinement, he ranked among the top ten all-time in points scored (21,586), field goal attempts (18,811), field goals made (8,504), and games played (1,122). At Marshall University, Greer became the first African-American to play for a major college team in West Virginia. He is usually considered the third-best guard of the 1960s, behind Oscar Robertson and fellow West Virginia native Jerry West. Inside the front right tail of this beautiful red durene, is the Rawlings size 40 label and a close by wash tag. Team name (Nats) across the chest, and player number (15) below that and on the back - both done in blue on white tackle twill with red embroidery, all with nice wear and puckering. Greer has signed and inscribed below the player number on front “Hal Greer #15 HOF - ‘81’ NBA - ‘50’”, in silver marker, in our opinion rating 8-9. This jersey is properly tagged, presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent wear. Accompanied by a full JSA LOA. Accompanied by a letter from PM&G, grading the jersey a 10.
