First ballot HoFer, Cal Ripken Jr. holds the record for the most consecutive games played in MLB history, with 2,632. This is a Louisville Slugger P72 Cal Ripken Jr. pro model Walker finish ash bat, measuring 35” x 33.3 oz. Evidence of outstanding use with a handle crack. Many ball marks and stitch impressions on the left, front and back barrel. Ball marks include ink transfers and white leather scuffs. Cleat marks can be seen on all sides of the barrel and there is a heavy coat of pine tar on the handle. Ripken has applied tape to the barrel with the added notation “Game 2000”. Cal Jr. has signed and inscribed the barrel “Cal Ripken Jr. 2000 Consecutive Game”, in gold marker, in our opinion rating a 9. Accompanied by a Cal Ripken Jr. LOA, a Resolution letter confirming the match, a full PSA LOA grading it GU 9.5, and a full JSA LOA.
