“The Splendid Splitter” is often regarded as one of the greatest hitters in baseball history. Ted Williams was one of the last players to hit over .400 in a season and was the last American League player to do so. Williams played for the Boston Red Sox his entire career from 1939 until 1960 and his .482 on-base percentage is the highest of all time. This Tim McAuliffe branded cap has William’s number “9” handwritten on the inside for player attribution. The cap has been presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding wear.
