Ozzie Smith, known as "The Wizard", played shortstop a NL record 2,511 career games at the position. He won the NL Gold Glove Award for 13 consecutive seasons. A 15-time All-Star, he accumulated 2,460 hits during his career and was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame on the first ballot in 2002. On the inside front left tail is the Rawlings manufacturer’s tag size “42” with washing instructions and an attached tag reading “92 1”. On the left sleeve is the “100TH ANNIVERSARY 1892-1992” patch. Across the chest reads “Cardinals” beneath their team “Birds on a bat” logo done in red, navy blue and yellow embroidery. Adjacent below and on the back is the player number “1”. Across the back is the player name “O. SMITH” on a grey nameplate. These all are done in red on navy blue tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged, presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent wear.
