Greg Maddux was not intimidated by the bright lights during the 1995 World Series, as that year’s National League Cy Young Award winner threw a two-hit complete game victory in Game 1. Maddux was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame on the first ballot in 2014. On the front left tail is a “RUSSELL ATHLETIC” size “44” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached below is a flag tag that reads, “100% POLYESTER” with an adjacent year tag (1995). Across the chest reads, “Atlanta” with Tomahawk logo and on the back is the player number “31”. These are done in red on navy blue tackle twill. Across the back reads the player name, “MADDUX” in navy blue tackle twill on a grey nameplate. On the left sleeve is a “30th SEASON IN ATLANTA Braves” patch. There is a minor stain on the front left tail above the tagging. This jersey is properly tagged, presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate wear.
