Primo Carnera, known as the "Ambling Alp," was an Italian legend proficient in both boxing and wrestling. He held the boxing title of World Heavyweight Champion from June 29, 1933, to June 14, 1934. Carnera's knockout victories surpassed those of any other heavyweight champion in boxing history. This robe is likely from the 1950s, later in Carnera’s career and has his name embroidered on the back in white stitching. It is approximately 72” from the collar to the tail. This robe has been presented to us as match-worn and in our opinion shows appropriate wear.
