Lot Description  

Lou Gehrig was a key part of the Yankees’ victory in the 1937 World Series. This 7x9" photograph captures Gehrig sneaking back to base while Dick Bartell attempts to tag him out. Bartell dropped the ball and Gehrig was safe. The rear of the photo has an Associated Press stamp with the date of October 6. 1937. It has also been encapsulated by PSA with a grade of “Type I Authentic”.
