Charlie Fox once recalled, "when a couple of tough kids came at me. I put up my dukes, and two Giants coaches saw me handling myself pretty good. They complimented me and asked if I could catch. I lied -- I said I could. They gave me a mitt and told me to help their pitchers in practice. "After a couple of hours, they handed me $5, as much as I made in a month hustling newspapers. That did it. From then on, I dreamed and worked only toward my goal of becoming a Giants catcher." On the front left tail of this cream flannel is the McAULIFFE manufacturer label with two tags below - year (‘65) and size (46). Inside the back collar is a strip tag with Coach name (Fox) done in black chain-stitch. Team name (GIANTS) across the front and coach number (9) on the back. Both done in black felt on orange tackle twill. On the front left tail of this cream flannel is the Wilson manufacturer label with was instructions and jersey size (46). Below is a damaged year tag. Team name (GIANTS) across the front and coach number (9) on the back. Both done in black on orange tackle twill. There is slight staining throughout. These jerseys are properly tagged, presented to us as coach-worn and in our opinion shows wear.
