Wade Boggs was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2005 on the first ballot. A 12-time All-Star and World Series champion, Boggs is a five-time American League batting champion and has his number retired by two franchises. On the front left tail is the Wilson manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions and an attached flag tag reading the size “42”. Below is a box tag with the year “90” embroidered. On the left sleeve is the Tony Conigliaro black armband. Across the chest reads “RED SOX” and on the back is the player number “26”. All numbering and lettering is done in red on navy blue tackle twill. Boggs signed the front of the jersey in black marker with the added inscription “91” and in our opinion rates a strong 8. Also included are a pair of matching pants with a Wilson tag inside the rear waistband with two heavily faded flag tags. Adjacent to both sides are two strip tags reading “26 25” and “90” as well as stamping that reads “No-67”. There is a repair to the back right leg and minor staining is present throughout. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows light use. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA.
