Leonard “Red” Kelly spent 13 seasons with the Detroit Red Wings, and in 2018-19 he became just the eighth individual to have his jersey retired by the organization, as his No. 4 sweater was raised to the rafters. A 1969 inductee into the Hockey Hall of Fame, Kelly won eight total Stanley Cup championships with Detroit and Toronto (four with each), making him one of only seven players in NHL history to have won six or more Stanley Cups, and the only one to do so without ever playing for the Montreal Canadiens. On the left inseam is a Coane manufacturer’s tag size “46”. Across the front is the iconic Red Wings team logo crest embroidered in red and white. The player number “4” appears on both sleeves in white tackle twill and across the back in red tackle twill. Numerous repairs are present including on the front, back and sleeves as well as unrepaired holes. Staining, pilling and board burns are also seen throughout. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. Accompanied by a Selby Colson LOA.
