After retiring from basketball in 1994, Michael Jordan spent the next year pursuing a childhood dream to play professional baseball. He signed a minor league contract with the Chicago White Sox of the American League, reported to spring training, and was assigned to the minor league affiliate Birmingham Barons. Attached inside the rear collar is the Wilson manufacturer's tag size “48” with washing instructions. On the left sleeve is the White Sox team organization logo patch and below is a Wilson logo. Across the front reads, “Birmingham” and below and across the back is the player number “45”. All numbering and lettering is done in black on white tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged and in our opinion shows light use/handeling.
