On January 12th, 2006 The New York Rangers raised Mark Messier’s #11 to the rafters. The Rangers players wore this special jersey to honor Messier and won the game 5-4 over the Edmonton Oilers in overtime. Jaromir Jagr scored the game-winning goal in OT and also added an assist. Offered is Jagr’s jersey from that game worn in the second period. Inside the rear tail is the MeiGray Group tag with serial number “C07261” and an attached tag reading “2005-2006 Season”. Attached inside the collar is a size “58” tag. On the right sleeve is the “11 JANUARY 12, 2006” commemorative patch. Diagonally across the front reads “RANGERS”. The assistant captain “A” logo is on the upper left chest. The player number “68” appears on both sleeves and on the back and across the back is the player name “JAGR”. All numbering and lettering is done in red on white tackle twill. The fight strap is intact with the number “2” handwritten on it in blue. Jagr signed the back of the jersey in black marker and in our opinion rates a near 9. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a MeiGray LOA, a Rangers LOA and an ALOA from JSA.
