Joe Torre was inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame in 2014. The 4-time World Series Champion and 2-time manager of the year wore this road jersey during the 2003 World Series. On the front left tail is the Russell Athletic manufacturer’s tag with an attached Yankee Steiner hologram and two attached flag tags reading “50 100% POLYESTER” and “+2” EXTRA LENGTH”. Adjacent below is a strip tag reading “2003”. On the right sleeve is the “WORLD SERIES 2003” patch and on the left sleeve is the Yankees “100th ANNIVERSARY” patch. Across the chest reads “NEW YORK” and on the back is the manager number “6”. All numbering and lettering is done in navy blue on white tackle twill. Staining is present on the right sleeve which appears to be dirt. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as manager worn and shows wear.
