A seven-time All-Star and two-time World Series champion, Thurman Munson was named the first New York Yankees captain since Lou Gehrig. Munson won the American League Rookie of the Year, AL MVP and has his No. 15 retired by the team. Inside beneath the collar is the Aladen manufacturer’s tag. Handwritten on this tag is a faded player number “15”. Attached is a size “44” tag and a hanging chain. On the left chest is the Yankees “NY” interlocking logo in white on navy blue tackle twill and on the left sleeve is a Yankees team logo patch. This jacket is properly tagged, was presented to us as player worn and shows wear. Accompanied by a LOA from Joseph DeMattio stating the jacket was sourced from Yankee equipment man, Pete Sheehy as well as a MEARS LOA.
