1985 was Rose’s last of his 17 All-Star appearances, and on September 11, 1985, Rose broke Cobb's all-time hits record with his 4,192nd hit. Pete Rose is the MLB all-time leader in hits with 4,256. Rose won three World Series and took home a World Series MVP. A three-time regular season National League MVP, Rose was named to the MLB’s All-Century Team and was a three-time NL batting champion. On the front left tail of this grey knit, is the Wilson size 44 label, with an adjacent grey strip tag, with the year: 85 chain stitched in red. Team city across the chest, player number (14) below that and on the back, and player name (ROSE) arched across the back - all done in shiny red tackle twill. Rose has signed the front left tail in black marker, in our opinion rating a 9. This jersey is properly tagged, presented to us as game-used, and in our opinion shows appropriate wear. Accompanied by a JSA ALOA. This jersey hung at CJ Brett’s Hermosa Beach Restaurant. CJ Brett’s was a locally famous sports bar in Hermosa Beach CA, co-owned by George Brett of the KC Royals and it was frequented by pro athletes and celebs alike.
