Verlon Biggs was a D-end who won Super Bowl III with the Jets (first one to bear its current moniker “Super Bowl”), 1968 AFL Champ, and 3x AFL All-Star. This white Ridell helmet with a green and white racing stripe, and Jets logo decals on each side. Player number (86) is handwritten on the inside, above the left earhole in black marker, for player attribution. The back of the suspension straps are marked with “D” and “8”. This helmet is properly marked, presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use, with hit and scuff marks and with what is likely a replacement mask and clips. Accompanied by a Mike Ferraro NJ Generals Equipment MGR card.
