Rare 1920s “Executioner” style leather helmet with player name “LEVIN” handwritten on the top in black marker, for player attribution to Ed Levin, who was a football and boxing star for San Jose State in the 1920s. What looks to be the manufacturing stamp is faded on the back panel. Chin strap intact. Evidence of excellent game-use and some storage wear. This helmet was originally sourced with Levin’s matching uniform, which does not accompany the lot.
