HoFer, Willie Mays is widely considered to be one of the, if not the greatest all around player ever to lace up cleats. This is a MacGregor KCX 12.5” Kangaroo X-Lace Web glove. Evidence of light use with scuffing seen on the fingertips and top web. Conventional back with an “Ad Justa” wrist strap / “Natural Ball Pocket”. Manufacturer labeling features MacGregor “Crown” Brunswick wrist label with MacGregor lightly branded on the heel. This glove is game-worn by Mays according to former NL umpire Ed Vagro, whose accompanying LOA also mentions that Mays gifted it to him after a game that he had umpired. When presented to Vargo by Mays, Willie had signed the glove which has faded over time. Accompanied by a JT Sports letter, a full PSA LOA, as well as the Ed Vargas LOA.
