The Miami Dolphins' first play was a 90-yard kickoff return TD by Joe Auer on September 2, 1966. It was an omen for a franchise that would compile one of football's winningest records. In 1990, when the Fish celebrated their first 25 years, 24 of their all-time greats signed this commemorative football, most notably the core of the 1971 and perfect-season 1972 title teams, including coach Don Shula, Bob Griese, Larry Csonka, Mercury Morris, Paul Warfield, Larry Little, Norm Evans, Bob Kuechenberg, Marv Fleming, Dick Anderson, and later heroes Mark Clayton and Dwight Stephenson. The signatures are on two white panels and rate 9s and near 10s.
