These tough-looking guys represent what football was about, back when Herbert Hoover was President and the game was a blood sport. This vintage photo is of the Minneapolis Red Jackets, who played in the low-rent NFL in 1929 and 1930. The photo is signed by all 11 players, including player-coach George Gibson, Porky Seborg, Nate Barrager, George Gibson, Herb Franta, Ken Haycraft, Tom Steponovich, and John Ward. The signatures in blue pen, have held up remarkably well and rate 7s and 8s. The 6" x 19" photo is in good condition with some creasing on the image. The photo is framed and comes with a letter of authenticity from Gibson, who owned it for over 70 years.
