Among the highly-coveted action miniatures put out by the Heartland company in the 1950s are those in the "Famous Gunfighter" series of popular cowboy TV shows. This beautifully preserved piece depicting the Lone Ranger's faithful Indian companion Tonto is a gold strike. The 6" high statue nails actor Jay Silverheels' character right down to his buckskin outfit, his long gun and the feather that inserts into Tonto's head (many surviving Tonto pieces lack the feather), as well as the saddle on Tonto's horse Scout, which stands 5" high. The statue comes with the original box and a pamphlet showing the entire Gunfighter and Baseball Stars series. The box is in very good condition with the only flaw being two pieces of tap. The statue itself is in excellent condition with very minimal chipping of the paint.
