Boston College Eagles (Independent) beat the Houston Cougars 45-28 in the 1985 Cotton Bowl. Boston College quarterback Doug Flutie gained national attention on November 23, when he led the Eagles to a memorable 47–45 win at Miami, in what would be called Hail Flutie. He left school as the NCAA’s all-time passing yardage leader with 10,579 yards, a consensus All-American, and the first quarterback to win the Heisman Trophy in thirteen years. On the front left tail of this white mesh jersey is the Champion size M label. Player number (22) is painted on the front/back and both sleeves, in maroon on bronze. Player name (FLUTIE) is painted in maroon on a white nameplate across the back. Team logos painted in green on the shoulders. This jersey is properly tagged and presented to us as game-issued.
