HOFer Catfish Hunter’s 6th big-league season marked his breakout year. He recorded his first season above .500 (18-14) and led the AL in starts (40). This was his liftoff, into 5 straight 20 win campaigns and an A’s three-peat, before heading to the Yankees and a song from Bob Dylan. This is a gorgeous ‘green mist’ example to mark the end of the beloved flannel era. On the front left tail is the McAULIFFE label, with a year (70) and size (46) labels below.
