Robin Yount came up to the Milwaukee Brewers in 1974 as an 18 year old. Eighteen years later, Yount was still the Brewers' shortstop when he broke the 3,000-hit plateau en route to a career total of 3,142, to go along with a .285 average, 1,406 RBIs, and 2 MVP awards. This 1985 Brewers home knit jersey worn by the Hall of Famer attests to his grit, as shoulder surgery after the previous season threatened his career. Yet he came back strong, to play 20 seasons. On the left front tail is the "Sand-Knit" label and size "40." On the back tail is a white label reading "85 4OZ" in computer print and a white label with "Yount" in black magic marker. Across the front is "Brewers" and the number "19" is on the left breast and on the back. All letters and numbers are made of blue on gold tackle twill. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
