The former University of Indiana football star hit with marked consistency and awesome power and fielded his position smoothly. Starting in 1951, Kluszewski topped NL first basemen in fielding five straight years, a ML record. On the inside front tail of the jersey is the "Rawlings" label which includes the size, "48." Adjacent is the flag tag reading "Set 1 1980." On the left breast is the Reds logo and on the back is the name "Kluszewski." The player number "18" appears on both the right breast and on the back of the shirt. Both the name and number are made of red tackle twill. The jersey shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
