Originally a third baseman, and the third player chosen in the June 1978 draft, Hubie Brooks was an early key to the rebuilt fortunes of the Mets. On the inside left front tail of the jersey is the "Rawlings" label and size, "46." Adjacent is the year tag "91" in blue Swiss embroidered stitch. Across the front of the jersey is the name "New York" and on the back of the shirt is the name "Brooks." Below this is the player number "7." The letters and numbers are made of ribbed blue tackle twill on an orange/white tackle twill backing. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
