Drazen Petrovic was considered one of the rising young stars in the NBA when his life was tragically cut short in a 1993 car crash at the age of 28. “Petro” won two silver medals and a bronze medal during his Olympic career and was part of the first wave of European players to establish themselves in the NBA. Petrovic debuted in the NBA with the Portland Trail Blazers in 1989 and made an immediate impact. Inside beneath the collar is the MacGregor Sand-Knit manufacturer’s tag size “44” with an attached tag reading “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS”. Adjacent are two additional box tags reading the year “88” and “4” LB” which indicates a carryover that was likely worn in multiple seasons. On the upper right chest is the “20th Anniversary Season 1970-1990” patch with the official NBA logo embroidered above. On the left chest is the Trail Blazers team logo and on the bottom right tail is the player number “44” in white tackle twill. Across the back reads “blazers” in white on black tackle twill. This jacket is properly tagged, was presented to us as player worn and shows wear.
