In 1932, the New York Yankees won their fourth and last World Series led by Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. After having already hit a home run earlier in Game Three against the Chicago Cubs, Ruth came to the plate in the fifth inning. Amidst the jeers of the crowd, Ruth allegedly stepped out of the batter's box and pointed to the centerfield stands, "calling his shot." On the next pitch, Ruth slammed a home run into the bleachers. The world may never know if he really called his shot, but the legend remains one of the most famous moments in baseball history. The Yankees went on to sweep the Cubs in four games. This magnificent baseball has been team signed by the 1932 World Series champion New York Yankees. The Reach manufactured OAL Harridge baseball is highlighted by a bold Babe Ruth signature on the sweet spot. The side panels are signed by Lou Gehrig, Lefty Gomez, Tony Lazzeri, Red Ruffing, Joe Sewell, Bill Dickey, Earle Combs, Herb Pennock, Ben Chapman and others. The signatures cover the ball in black steel-tip fountain pen and in our opinion rate between faded and 8 with the Ruth and Gehrig on the stronger side and only a couple being faded. Accompanied by a Full JSA LOA.
