The "Iron Man", Cal Ripken Jr. was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007 on the first ballot. A two-time American League MVP, Ripken was a 19-time All-Star, has his No. 8 retired by the Baltimore Orioles franchise and was named to the MLB All-Century Team. On the front left tail is the Russell Athletic manufacturer’s tag size “48” with washing instructions and an attached flag tag reading “100% NYLON” and a strip tag reading the year “1995”. This jersey is sans the extra length. Across the chest reads “Orioles” in script style writing done in black on orange tackle twill. The player number “8” appears below in orange on black tackle twill. Across the back on a white nameplate is the player name “RIPKEN” and below is the player number “8”. These are done in black on orange tackle twill. On the left sleeve is an Orioles team logo patch and on the right sleeve is a Russell logo embroidered. Ripken signed the front in blue marker and in our opinion rates a strong 8. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows light use.
