If it’s a Ervin “Magic” Johnson jersey from the 1980s, there’s a high chance he wore it during a season where he received one or multiple accolades. Johnson won five NBA championships (1980, 1982, 1985, 1987-88), three NBA Finals MVP awards (1980, 1982, 1987) and three regular season MVP awards (1987, 1989-90). Johnson was named All-NBA First Team nine consecutive seasons (1983-91) and led the league in assists for four seasons. Johnson was named to the NBA 50th Anniversary All-Time Team and was enshrined into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002. On the front center tail is a “Tiernan” manufacturer’s tag. Across the chest reads, “LAKERS” and across the back reads the player name “JOHNSON”. The player number “32” appears on both the front and on the back. All numbering and lettering is done in purple on white tackle twill. Johnson signed on the back player number “3” in silver marker and in our opinion rates an 8 overall.
