Although Joe Jackson's major league baseball career ended after the 1920 season, he did not simply retire from the game. Jackson was semi-literate and possessed no marketable job skills other than playing ball. So with no other jobs available, Jackson continued to play baseball in semi pro leagues, barnstorming across the country. Here is a Black Betsy bat with the exact specifications used by Joe Jackson with attribution to him. Manufacturer: Louisville Slugger Length: 36 inches Weight: 39 ounces Finish: Two Tone - Black Betsy Wood: Ash. The bat is uncracked and shows significant use. Accompanied by a MEARS LOA grading the bat a perfect A10.
