Tipping the scales at nearly forty-four ounces, this mammoth slab of Spalding ash instantly evokes the Dead Ball Era with its thunderous bulk and minimal tapering that allowed lumber like this to last virtually forever without cracking. The young White Sox catcher did a great deal of work with this enormously rare and desirable relic, with use described as "heavy" by PSA/DNA. Ball marks coat the barrel, with cleat marks on the handle, tobacco juice stains and a chipped knob. The Spalding logo appears on the knob end. Accompanied by a LOA from PSA/DNA grading the bat a GU 8.5.
