In 2006, the St. Louis Cardinals won a World Series championship in large part due to Albert Pujols. Pujols finished in second place of the National League MVP voting, hitting 49 home runs with 137 RBI and a .331 batting average. On the front left tail is a “Majestic” manufacturer’s tag with a size “52” flag tag attached. On the left inseam is a materials tag with washing instructions. Across the chest reads, “Cardinals” in red chain-stitching with a navy blue chain-stitched border with the Cardinals logo above. The player number “5” appears on both the front and on the back and across the back reads the player name, “PUJOLS”. These are done in red on navy blue tackle twill sewn directly onto the white jersey. Above the player name is the official “MLB” logo embroidered. On the left sleeve is a “INAUGURAL SEASON 2006” patch (first season in Busch Stadium III) and below is a Majestic logo embroidered. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
