Heavyweight champ Muhammad Ali fought veteran Earnie Shavers on September 29, 1977 at Madison Square Garden, winning a unanimous 15 round decision. This classic 22" x 29" yellow, black and red poster from the fight bills Shavers, whom Ali labeled as "The Acorn", "the hardest punching heavyweight in the world." The poster, which freezes that era in time, lists on the undercard such stellar fighters as Vito Antuofermo, Alexis Arguello and Mike "The Jewish Bomber" Rossman. But for some fraying at the bottom edges, the poster is in excellent condition. Ali's autograph rates a strong 8 to 9.
