The 1949 movie "The Fight Never Ends" co-starred Joe Louis in his first and last acting role. Louis retired as heavyweight champ the year before but had fallen on hard times and agreed to play himself in the low-budget flick, which was made for black audiences and starred Ruby Dee and the Mills Brothers in a drama about inner-city delinquents. These eight promotional lobby cards call the movie "a story as powerful as the Brown Bomber himself!" with each depicting Louis in his fighting stance next to a different scene from the film, including one with Joe advising a troubled kid. The yellow-tinted posters measure 11-1/4" x 14" and are in excellent condition with some minor discolorations.
