Mike Piazza, who was the MVP of the 1996 All-Star Game, garnered his 8th straight selection as the NL starting catcher in 2000, earning him this banner bearing his name. The banner was hung from the roof at Atlanta's Turner Field on July 11, 2000, along with those representing the other players chosen by the fans. Unfortunately, Piazza's recollections of that day are probably a bit hazy, as he was forced to miss the game after being beaned by a Roger Clemens fastball only days earlier. The 35" x 62" vinyl banner is deep blue with "Piazza" in gold on white and black capital letters next to a large gold on black star. The banner is in very good condition.
