One of the most popular attractions in the world for nearly 80 years, the Harlem Globetrotters were formed by Abe Saperstein to display the talents of skilled black players. This great lot of six Globetrotter yearbooks and programs includes three copies of programs from the 1952 World Series of Basketball, the year that marked the team's 25th anniversary season and when "Sweet Georgia Brown" became their theme song. The yearbooks from the 1961-1962 and 1976 and 1978 seasons chronicle the team's evolution as globetrotting goodwill ambassadors on their endless world tours. The yearbooks and programs are in excellent condition.
