This purple road jersey worn by Dennis Rodman during his brief stint with the L.A. Lakers in 1998-99 recalls "The Worm's" 23 games of controversy, chaos, cross-dressing and rebounding, the usual Rodman m.o. during his turbulent NBA career in which he won three titles with the Chicago Bulls and 2 with the Detroit Pistons. He was twice named Defensive Player of the Year, and led the league in rebounds a record seven straight seasons. For all his antics, Rodman pulled down an average of 11.2 boards as a Laker before the club cut him loose. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "NBA Authentics" label and size "Nike" label with the size "48". Adjacent is the "Los Angeles Lakers" label. Below the Nike label is the "Length +4" label. On the inside lower left is the wash tag and under this is the year tag "1998-99." Across the front is "Lakers" and on back is "Rodman." The letters are made of gold on white tackle twill. The player number "73" is on the front and back in white on gold tackle twill and on the upper front is the "NBA" patch. The jersey shows slight game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
