This eye-grabbing, apple-red St. Louis Hawks road warm-up jacket was worn during the late 1950s by Hall of Famer Clyde Lovellette, whose versatility for a "big man" (6-foot-9) is seen in his career averages of 17 points and 9.5 rebounds. Lovellette, an All-American at Kansas, began with the Minneapolis Lakers dynasty in 1953 and won a ring as a rookie. In 1958 he was traded to the Hawks, teaming with Bob Petit, Cliff Hagan and Jack Twyman.
