Don Sutton wore two numbers during the 1983 season, 20 and 21. This jersey was worn early in 1983 before he changed his number. Sutton was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1998. On the left front tail is the “Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag with jersey size “46”. Adjacent is a second “Sand-Knit” tag with “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for Milwaukee Brewers”. Inside the rear tail is a strip tag with “83 46T” indicating jersey year and size, respectively. Across the front is “BREWERS”. Player number “21” appears on both the front and back. All numbers and letters are done in blue on gold tackle twill. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows appropriate use.
