Roberto Clemente played his entire 18-year baseball career with the Pirates (1955–72). He was awarded the National League's MVP Award in 1966. Clemente was selected to participate in twelve All Star Games and won twelve Gold Glove Awards. He was elected to the Hall of Fame posthumously in 1973, thus becoming the first Latin American to be selected and the only current Hall of Famer for whom the mandatory five year waiting period has been waived since the wait was instituted in 1954. Manuf: Adirondack, Model: 129X, Length: 36 in, Weight: 35.6 oz, Wood: Ash, Condition: Cracked at the handle. There are many ball marks and ball stitch marks on the right, left and back barrel. The handle of the bat is spiral taped approximately 12 inches to enhance the grip. The model number “129X” is stamped into the knob. Clemente’s number “21” appears on the knob in black marker. Overall: Outstanding with medium-heavy game-use. Accompanied by a LOA from PSA/DNA graded a GU8.5.
