Hall of Famer Casey Stengel was both a player and manager in the MLB. Stengel is best known for his time managing the New York Yankees and New York Mets throughout the 1950s and 1960s. This size  7 1/8 Tim McAullife hat Mets hat has Stengel’s name stenciled into the inside edge of the hat as well as his number handwritten onto the underside of the brim in marker for manager attribution. We were told by our consignor that this hat has the appropriate tagging, has been presented to us as manager-worn and in our opinion shows appropriate wear.
