Messier spent a quarter of a century in the NHL (1979-2004) with the Edmonton Oilers, New York Rangers, and Vancouver Canucks. Widely considered among the best NHL players of all time, he is also among the greatest leaders in the game's history. He is second on the all-time career lists for regular season points (1,887), and regular season games played (1,756). He won six Stanley Cups, five with the Oilers and one with the Rangers, and is the only professional athlete to captain two different teams to championships. Due to his size and strength, he was nicknamed "The Moose". In 2007, he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, in his first year of eligibility. Inside the back of the neck, is the NIKE size LG tag. On the front is the “OILERS” logo in orange, blue, and white tackle twill. On each sleeve and on the back is the player number "11" in orange on white tackle twill, with blue embroidery. Across the back is the player name “MESSIER” in white tackle twill on a blue name plate. On the front left breast is the Alternate Captain’s “A” patch in orange on white tackle twill, with blue embroidery. On the back lower left tail is the “NIKE” logo in white screen print. Fight strap is intact. Evidence of board burns, stick marks, paint transfers, puckering and pilling to the inside of the elbows from rubbing of elbow pads. This jersey is properly tagged, presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate wear. Accompanied by a letter from Byron’s Hockeyland.
