Y.A. Tittle spent 10 seasons with the San Francisco 49ers through 1960. After the 1960 season, Tittle was traded to the New York Giants, where he would have some of his best seasons. In 1963, Tittle set what was then an NFL record by throwing 36 touchdown passes. In a career lasting 17 years, Tittle passed for 33,070 yards, 242 touchdowns, and twice received the NFL Most Valuable Player Award. In 1971, he was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. On the crotch piece is the Wilson manufacturers tag size “48”. The crotch piece is intact. Across the front, back and on both sleeves is the player number “14” in red tackle twill. The shoulder yoke configuration is unique for this era. The player numbers on the shoulders are sitting on the seam, which is confirmed through period imagery. You’d be hard pressed to find a better Tittle in the hobby. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use with football related staining throughout. Accompanied by a Photo-Match.com LOA grading the jersey a perfect 10.
