Jason Williams took Duke to a NCAA title in 2001, earned National College POTY in 2002 and was drafted second overall in the 2002 NBA draft. The SIA letter states in part: “Sports Investors Authentication photo matched this jersey being worn by Jay Williams on January 31, 2002. Williams had 18 points, one rebound, and seven assists during Duke’s 87-58 win against North Carolina. Additionally, the jersey is an apparent match to December 8, 2001. This jersey was likely worn by Williams every game that Duke wore their alternate jerseys during the first half of this season. There are loose threads throughout the stitching and puckering on the twill and tacking.” On the front left tail, is the NIKE ELITE size 48 label, with two tags attached: LENGTH +2 / D NCAA FINAL FOUR APPEARANCES 1994 1999. Duke’s D logo on the front of the collar and the 9/11 American Flag patch on the left breast. Team name (DUKE) arched across the chest, and player number (22) below that and on the back - both done in blue on white tackle twill. Player name (WILLIAMS) arched across the back in white tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged, presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent wear. Accompanied by letter from SIA, confirming the match.
